Ellison In Team Of The Week (27/2/18)

Morecambe are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Wycombe Wanderers.

The performance by Kevin Ellison in the four two victory over Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend at Adams Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Ellison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Marking your 39th birthday with two goals isn`t the worst way to celebrate, with Ellison rifling home a superb strike initially, prior to heading home at the far post to double his tally at Adams Park.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Ellison for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Aaron Chapman (Accrington Stanley), Clark Robertson (Blackpool), Tim Ream (Fulham), Adam Webster (Ipswich Town), Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa), Joe Newell (Rotherham United), Lee Tomlin (Nottingham Forest), Zeli Ismail (Bury), Kevin Allison (Morecambe), Danny Graham (Blackburn Rovers), Jordan Bowery (Crewe Alexandra).

Manager - Jose Morais (Barnsley).
