Tough As Expected For Wright

Tough As Expected For Wright

Morecambe ended there first week of pre-season training with 'a variation of fitness based sessions.'

Time on the pitch as well as in the water at the swimming poll at 3-1-5 Health Club saw all areas of fitness worked on as the week came to an end, and it was a 'tough week' but then again nothing less was expected as that is how pre-season should be.

Andy Wright knows this too well but he also feels it is a week, to kick-off pre-season, that will stand the Shrimps in good stead as it was something the whole squad also needed.

What he says he has been impressed with though is the general fitness of the players, he feels we are looking 'fitter and stronger' than this time last year.

Wright told the official website: 'It's been tough as expected but I think that's what we all want and what we all need.

'All the lads have come in fitter and stronger than this time last year.'

Lets just hope that this increased fitness and strength can translate onto the pitch and see a little less of a struggle this season to how the 2013/14 season ended!
