McCready Junior Looked At
Morecambe and Chris McCready parted company this summer; however there could still be a McCready at the Globe Arena this season?
Jim Bentley has revealed that the former Shrimps defenders younger brother Tom is training with the club and a trial in the hope of earning himself a contract for this coming season started when pre-season got underway.
The 23-year-old had been in America playing and furthering himself academically, much like fellow trialists Alan Goodall and Laurence Wilson the Morecambe boss doesn't think that there's any harm in having a look at him.
Midfielder McCready, formerly a youngster with Everton, had also training with the club a bit last season and had impressed in some reserve team outings.
Bentley said: 'Chris McCready came to see me and said he was coming home from America. He's been out there for the last few years doing a degree and playing.
'He had a couple of options to stay out there but wanted to come back to England and he came in last season for a couple of years and impressed everyone and did well in a couple of reserve games.
'Again there's no harm in looking and he could be a little rough diamond.'
We'll know soon enough if there is a 'little rough diamond' here, what do you think?
