Bentley Closer To A Left Back

Bentley Closer To A Left Back

Jim Bentley continues his search for a new left back for Morecambe this summer, trialist Alan Goodall could be a possibility but isn't a specialist in this area so even if he signs that seem unlikely.

The Shrimps boss wants to add to the signings of Shaun Beeley, Jamie Devitt and Ryan Edwards earlier this summer but definitely isn't 'in a rush' to bring in a left back as he feels there isn't a need to panic as there are still plenty of options.

He does feel he is 'getting closer' to finding the one he wants though but this has to benefit the club first and foremost and be in the Shrimps' terms.

Bentley told the Visitor: 'I'm getting closer on the left back but I'm not in a rush.

'We're pretty much done and there's still a lot of quality around.

'We want him in but I'm not going to get used.'

They do say that the early bird catches the worm, and at times you do have to move quickly but the cream of the crop isn't always among the early moves you make as they also say the best things come to those who wait!

Bentley's judgment, and decision making, on a left back will be backed by all Shrimps' fan I'm certain wont it?

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
