Welcome Return For Boss

Welcome Return For Boss

We all enjoy a summer break; arguably if you're a football manager you don't really get a break as such as it's not really something that you switch off from as such.

From the sounds of it, even though he's been busy with a course this summer and been working to bring in new recruits it does appear that Jim Bentley has had a little more time on his hands than he would have liked though?

The Morecambe boss admitted that it got to the point where he was almost 'twiddling his thumbs' in anticipation of coming back for pre-season training, which he couldn't wait for and is now happy to see has arrived.

For him it 'feels like ages' ago that the league 2 season ended!

He told the Visitor: 'I think this year it feels like ages since the season ended.

'Maybe it's because I've had a few things on. There was the course at St George's Park and my holiday.

'I'm more than ready to come back. It's get to the stage where you're twiddling your thumbs.'

The first week or so will be double days of training with 'fitness' first thing in the morning and then the afternoon will see 'ball work' on the agenda and in attendance, for the time being at least, will be Will Bell while both player and club 'weigh up' their options.

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
