Diagne Joins Lincoln

Diagne Joins Lincoln

When you've been transfer-listed it shouldn't ever come as a surprise to anyone if you move on, and Tony Diagne was listed earlier this summer and has now left Morecambe.

The 23-year-old defender was signing from Macclesfield Town last summer on a two-year deal but Jim Bentley decided at the end of the 2013/2014 season that he wasn't in his plans for this coming season and was transfer listed.

Lincoln City have snapped up the defender on a two-year deal, which allows him to be reunited with his former Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson.

It wasn't to be for him at the Globe Arena, however he'll still leave with the clubs and most fans' best wishes.
