Beast Earns The Plaudits

Brian Jensen has been known as 'the Beast' during his long and distinguished career, with him most famous from his time with Burnley.

The veteran 'keeper was making his final appearance for Bury at the weekend, having already been informed that he was being released, but his marked this with a fine display to keep Morecambe at bay.

Due to his saves, and some wayward finishing, the Shrimps had to be content with a nil-nil draw.

Among those he denied were Player of the Year Andy Fleming and Kevin Ellison, with Jim Bentley praising his performance.

After the game the Shrimps boss told the media: 'Jensen made some great saves and we should have perhaps made some better decisions at times and had to settle for the point.'

Jensen has probably shown enough to convince a club that he's worth picking up, so long as he wants his career to continue and Bentley's words of praise can only help him with this.
