Bentley: We Were Worthy Of The Point

Bentley: We Were Worthy Of The Point

The season is now over for Morecambe with the final league two fixture seeing them finish at home.

Morecambe, having secured their league status, ended with a game at the Globe Arena against midtable Bury and the points were shared in a 0-0 draw.

Morecambe had the better of the efforts with Bury 'keeper Brian Jensen, praised by Bentley, producing some saves to keep the Shrimps at bay but ultimately the boss thought his side were 'well worthy' of the point they gained.

Following the game Bentley told the media: 'We always looked the better side and I think if anyone was going to win it it was us.

'Although there were no goals in the end I thought it was a good game with plenty to talk about.

'We played some really good stuff at times and defended really well against a good side and we were worthy of the point.'

It's a shame that the season couldn't have ended with a home win but are you happy with the point?
