Shrimps Turn To Edwards

Jim Bentley's move into the emergency loan transfer window to strengthen the defence is the wake of the 5-1 defeat to Accrington Stanley last Tuesday has seen him bring in Ryan Edwards.

The defender was signed from Blackburn Rovers on Friday with the 20-year-old coming in for an immediate debut against Northampton Town at the Globe Arena on Saturday, with a one-all draw secured with his help.

Edwards, a former youth team captain at the championship outfit, will spend the next month with the Shrimps.
