Late Exeter Postponement

Morecambe were due to face Exeter at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon, but a downpour just hours before kick off led to a postponement.

The weather hadn't been good in Devon this week but it wasn't until the down pour at 1pm that left the pitch saturated with water.

In the end, following a pitch inspection by Andy D'Urso, he had no decision but to decide the pitch was unplayable so as a result of a waterlogged pitch less than an hour and a half before the scheduled 3pm kick off the game had to be called off.

A new date will be announced shortly.
