'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Team News v Scunthorpe

Morecambe are off to Scunthorpe on Saturday as the festive period really swings into force.

What a great boost Kevin Ellison has given us with the news that he's set to return from his fractured eye socket. He of course sustained this when scoring the winner against Mansfield in November, and he wasn't expected back until New Year's Day.

Ryan Williams, due to a hamstring problem, had missed the last couple of weeks but he's back in training and should be involved.

Suspension ruled Alex Kenyon out of the win over Bristol Rovers, however he too is back in the picture for a return to the starting XI if not that the squad.

Jim Bentley was of course delighted with the return ahead of schedule of Ellison but knows we could be playing Scunthorpe at the right time as they've really come into form since the sacking of Brian Laws, which so often happens.

He told the official website: 'That kind of thing happens sometimes with a new manager.

'A new man has gone in and they`ve taken 10 points from 12 so it's a good return and it would have been 12 without a last-minute goal at Wycombe last week.

'We know they're going to be full of confidence and are all trying to impress, as is the manager so he can get the job.

'We could be catching them at a bad time in that respect but we've got a few bodies back, won last week and are in a decent position so go there with plenty of confidence.'

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
