Fine Lines

What is it with us and needing to come from behind in games?

Fortunately we managed this again at the weekend in a positive fashion but imagine how many more Shrimps win there could have been this season if we didn't have to play catch up quite so often!

Morecambe's latest comeback win saw us come from one-down to overcome Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the Globe Arena on Saturday.

John-Joe O'Toole had given the visitors the lead before Jack Sampson levelled early in the second half, by which point we could (and maybe should) have already been two-goals down! Late on Jack Redshaw was the hero as he fired home.

There's a fine line between success and failure, granted we might have rode this at the weekend but Jim Bentley feels we rode it well.

He said: 'We have come from behind so often this season that it is crazy really but it highlights the tremendous spirit we have in the side.

'It is all about fine lines and we rode our luck a little bit because they missed two great chances to win it and we took ours right at the death and although a draw may have been a fair result I will certainly take the win.

'I told our front three I needed more from them at half time and they gave me everything I asked for in the second period because we were much more dangerous and when you have someone like Jack Redshaw in your side you always have a chance of a goal.'

You take a win as you can get it don't you, whichever way it comes!

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
