A Point Gained

A Point Gained

I'm not sure that too many would have come away from the Globe Arena having felt short changed on Tuesday night would they?

Despite the fact that neither side could make the breakthrough the 0-0 draw between Morecambe and York offered up enough entertainment to please those in attendance.

I think it's fair to say that we just about shaded the chances but Jim Bentley didn't think that he could have asked for anymore, some goals would be nice though as we're struggling to find these of late.

Bentley told BBC Radio Lancashire: 'It was an end-to-end game and both sets of players came off with nothing left in the tank.

'Both keepers have been fantastic. We've both created plenty of chances and the only thing that was missing, unfortunately for us, was a goal. We're just struggling a little bit at the moment to score goals but it's not for the want of trying.

'On another day, we could have scored a few more. It's a point gained.'

Barry Roche made some fine saves, mostly in the first half for us but Nick Pope and then Keith Lowe both contrived to deny us a goal, Pope saving from Padraig Amond before Lowe cleared Alex Kenyon's effort as he followed up off the line!

The goals have started to dry up, but it's pleasing not to concede either and all the while, firstly and foremost, we don't concede we can't lose.

Finding our goalscoring boots again would be nice though....
