Pirelli Goes Flat For Burton

Morecambe got back to winning ways on Saturday in Derbyshire after two successive defeats.

Ryan Williams headed what might have been a shot from Kevin Ellison past home keeper Jordan Pickford from close range after 33 minutes to win the match for the visitors.

It was a feisty game - eight players were booked, five of them Shrimps - but Burton ended-up with ten men on the park after Shane Cansdell-Sheriff was sent off in injury time at the end of the game for a second bookable offence.

The Shrimps were already playing a man light after Ellison was forced to limp off with an injury after ninety minutes and the visitors had already introduced all their substitutes.

The win puts Morecambe back into the Play-Off positions in fifth spot; defeat means that The Brewers slip to seventh.
