Hughes Signed And Made Captain

Mark Hughes had been training with Morecambe; he's now become a permanent signing after penning a two-year deal following his release by Bury.

Not only has the defender joined the Shrimps he'll captain them this season, with Jim Bentley admitting as much on the official website.

Bentley said: 'He is a great talker as well as a good defender and will be an excellent captain for us.'

26-year-old Hughes has plenty of leadership experience so will make a good captain, as he will a good signing!
