Careful Not To Expect Too Much

Careful Not To Expect Too Much

Jim Bentley has endured an "interesting summer", putting it mildly, and following financial cutbacks this season could be his toughest at Morecambe?

After finishing 15th and 16th in his first two seasons something similar would be taken but he knows its going to be a tough division again, probably stronger than before.

He knows, as he told BBC Radio Lancashire, there will be some "ups and downs" and "too much" shouldn't be expected from his side but he wants all to "enjoy the ride", he said: 'You can see that with the signings that a lot of the other clubs are making.

'The likes of Mansfield are strengthening considerably, and there are big teams coming down in Portsmouth and Bury, who seem to have got over their money problems.

'We've got young lads and we've got to be careful not to expect too much. We'll have our ups and downs, like we did last season and the season before. We've just got to make sure we all stick together and enjoy the ride.'
