Strikers Globe Arrival Confirmed

Morecambe have had a difficult summer so far with a number of players, including some they though would stay, moving on.

Jim Bentley has also been frustrated in his efforts to recruit players too, however it was believed that a new striker would be unveiled shortly.

The Morecambe boss had told The Visitor that a signing was "close to being a done deal" with him well versed in League Two and of "a good age" who would "do well" for The Shrimps.

Any waiting game didn't have to be played for long as this morning the club have officially confirmed the arrival of former Blackburn striker Marcus Marshall, who played with Kevin Ellison at Rotherham.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal.
