Winger Joins Plymouth After Change Of Heart
Morecambe have suffered another contract rejection, with a "change of heart" costing them a key member of the first team squad to a League Two rival.
Lewis Alessandra was believed to have agreed a new deal with The Shrimps, however the longer that went by without the deal being signed the more the worry was that he could follow several other players in rejecting these reduced terms, which he did this week.
Having changed his mind about signing this deal, when interest from another club surfaced, Alessandra informed Jim Bentley of his decision to move on and he's now linked up with his former Oldham manager John Sheridan (who handed him his debut) at Plymouth on a two-year deal.
It's another kick in the teeth for Bentley and Morecambe, however he'll definitely dust himself down and carry on in his efforts to rebuild his squad.
