Morecambe's 4-1 victory at York on Saturday has been hailed by Jim Bentley.
Bentley was thrilled with a "hard working" and "disciplined" performance, although he feels that his side can still play better: 'That was a very hard working, disciplined performance. We know York are a good footballing side and they were unlucky last week at Gillingham, so we had to play the game the right way.
'We can play better with the ball but we didn't, but what we did do was play with good shape and everything we worked on the lads carried out.'
The Shrimps stuck to the game plan and this reaped dividends, as Bentley believed it would.
Morecambe's boss added: 'We knew when they did break up we could get them on the break and that's what we tended to do second half. They're the home team so they have to come out and have a go but we stood firm.
'When we went ahead their fans kept geeing them on to go forward and we picked them off and scored another couple of goals through Jack.
'It's an absolutely brilliant win for us, to score goals as well and get the points at a difficult place like this which moves us up the table.'
An outside chance of a play off spot is on for The Shrimps is there if they can find consistency regularly!
