Late Strikes Give Morecambe The Points

Dagenham 1-2 Morecambe
26th January 2013
15:00
The L.B Barking & Dagenham Stadium

Morecambe fought back from behind to secure an important win at Dagenham on Saturday afternoon.

Neither side could force a breakthrough in the opening period so the sides went into the break level.

Shortly past the hour though it was the home side that broke the deadlock with Luke Wilkinson (61) opening the scoring for Dagenham.

Morecambe looked to the bench for inspiration, and it came!

With 10-minutes to play Stewart Drummond (81) drew them level and a couple of minutes later Ryan Williams (83) marked another appearances from the bench with another goal to secure The Shrimps a 2-1 win, which was confirmed when the outside of the post denied The Daggers a late equaliser.
