Morecambe held at Chesterfield

Chesterfield 1-1 Morecambe
29th December 2012
15:00
Proact Stadium

Morecambe had a lead but had to settle for a point at the end at 10-men Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon.

Saves, and the bar, had denied Chesterfield before Chris McCready (29) put Morecambe ahead just before the half hour mark against the run of play. The header was adjudged to have just crossed the line.

A fine free-kick from Conor Townsend (40) drew Chesterfield level though just before the break.

Both sides had chances to win the game (which saw the hosts play the final 30-minutes or so with 10-men when Townsend was sent off) but it ended in a 1-1 draw.
