'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bentley: Goals change games

It's quite a basic statement to make really that "goals change games" but indeed they do with Morecambe benefiting from this in Tuesday's win over Chesterfield.

Jim Bentley, as he told BBC Radio Lancashire, didn't think there was much in it during the first half but thought his side finally got what they deserved.

It could have been better than 2-0 but he'll take that: 'There wasn't much in it in the first half. We were evenly matched, but goals change games.

'We got the goal at the crucial time, we came out in the second half and scored a great second goal.

'We could have had one or two more but I'll take 2-0, a clean sheet, three points and the right result.'
